Logo in the middle

A square PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG works best. It stays on your device.

Margin

The clear border scanners need. Keep the standard one unless your design already has white space around the code.

Error correction

Higher levels scan when part of the code is damaged or dirty, but make it denser.

Your code appears here as you type.

PNG size

Scan the code with your phone camera before you print or share it.

How it works

  1. Choose what the code opens

A link, a Wi-Fi network, a contact card, an email, a call, a text message or a WhatsApp chat.

  2. Fill in the details

The code redraws as you type, so you can see it grow denser as the content gets longer.

  3. Style it

Pick colors, the shape of the dots and corners, and add your logo in the middle if you like.

  4. Download and test

Save a PNG or SVG, then scan it with your phone camera before you print or share it.

Questions people ask

  • Do these QR codes expire?

No. The content is stored in the code itself, not behind a redirect, so a code works for as long as the link or details inside it do. The trade-off is that a printed code can't be pointed somewhere new: you make a new code instead.

  • Can I put my logo in the middle?

Yes. Upload a logo and it sits in the center of the code. The generator switches to the highest error correction, so the code still scans with its middle covered. Keep the logo small and test the code before printing.

  • Should I download a PNG or an SVG?

PNG works everywhere: documents, slides, websites and social posts. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, which is what printers want for flyers, packaging, menus and signs.

  • Which colors scan reliably?

A dark code on a light background, with strong contrast between them. Some scanners struggle with light codes on dark backgrounds, so the generator warns you when the contrast is low or the colors are the wrong way round.

  • How does the Wi-Fi code work?

Guests point their phone camera at it and join your network without typing the password. It uses the standard Wi-Fi QR format that iPhone and Android cameras read.

  • Are my links and passwords stored?

No. Codes are drawn by your browser, on your device. Your links, Wi-Fi passwords and contact details are never sent to Xsofty or saved anywhere.
